Description

Portrait head of a youth. Life sized. Beadless. Lacking back of head which was left roughly picked, rear half of top of head, proper right temple, and the end of the nose. Broken at neck preserving small piece of bust extending down to proper right. Dowel hole. Looking frontally. Front of hair in flame-shaped locks, curl to the right. Forehead unmarked, arches over each eye. Eyes wide, almond shaped, rimmed by ridges. Mouth placed off center to the propwe right. Crudely executed, probablt provincial. Ears large and rough. Drill channels between ear and head. Transitional, from Republican to Imperial periods. Perhaps by the same hands as 32-36-63.
