Description | Two panels, each with four selvedges. Brown cotton ground with white stripes at each end. Multicoloured weft brocaded stripes and two borders of animal motifs in red, magenta, blue, dark blue, white, yellow, turquoise. As per Sigrid Meier (1997), "Warp: 38 epi single Z-twist natural brown cotton. Weft: 30 ppi single Z-twist natural brown cotton. Plain weave. Supplementary weft: two-faced." |
