Description | Electrotype reproduction of oval gold bowl, fluted and engraved; lapis hadles. Original in Baghdad U10003 Type 7. Found in the pit of Meskalamdug. PG 755 at the head of the coffin. Ur Cemetery, p. 159, P1. 160 (Baghdad 8272) Antiq. Jour., Oct. 1928, p. 427, P1. LVIII Sides are fluted. Chevron pattern below the rim. On the base an engraved rosette. Lugs vertically pierced, lapis lazuli between projecting plates of gold secured by rivets. Loop handle, probably silver, is missing. |
