Description | A. Nude man in three quarter pose, head in profile facing left, holds out sword (or dagger?) in sheath (?) and carries a spear, point down, in left hand. His cloak is draped over both forearms and behind back. He wears a pilos (pointed cap) with chin strap on his head. In front of him is a cubical object shown in perspective. B. Youth in three quarter view, head in profile facing left. Covered from neck to calf with mantle embroidered at the edges. A large palmette under each handle. On neck, above A, is a female head, in profile, facing left. On neck, above B, is a large palmette. Intact save for chip of base. Knotted handles glazed on outside only. On underside of base three inscriptions in black ink: Hyacinth, H. Graff, Puglio |
