Description

Black clay (do not wash). Face polished; otherwise, textile surface. Probably represents pygmy. Hair parted terminating in club at nape. Pierced eyeballs and nostrils; wears long shirt. Oval base. Carries skin shield of East African type in left hand and wooden spear in right. Incised on shoulder: MaeSa.
