Description | Wooden box for storing huia feathers and small ornaments. Oval, with rounded bottom. Small heads (one rudimentary) at ends for handles. Bottom covered with carved designs, including spirals (koru) and notches framed by parallel grooves (pakati). Oval lid (B), covered with patterns similar to those on bottom of box. Chipped at both ends. |
