Description

Curved single-edged steel blade, both edges bevelled towards cutting edge and for about 2/5 of other edge. Blued blade covered with etched seahorse, crown, ship and floral design and marked "Thos. Gill, #53 St. Jamess St. London, warranted". Traces of gilding. Openwork brass guard in anchor and cable design. Ivory grip finely crosshatched with brass cap in form of lion's head.
