Technique Basketry
Description

Flexible twined basket-bag; conical, bottom edge is rounded. Warp of commercial twine; weft of corn husk(?); top edge is bound with rawhide. Short rawhide handle attached on one side. Design panel around sides in wrapped twining and consists of weft materials dyed black forming 4 vertical lines of 2 butter-flies (? or birds), and one line of small figures- a mana and woman and a dog and deer or elk. Single row of black at base of design.
