Description | Skirt made of silk and cotton. Red warps with paired yellow warp stripes. Wefts are red, gold and blue-and-white ikat according to the cross pattern. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 40 epi, single, Z twist, red, yellow cotton with two singles, Z twist, blue cotton in selvedge. Weft: 24 ppi, single, Z twist, yellow rayon and indigo/white jaspe cotton. Two singles, Z twist, red cotton. Balanced plain weave. Woven on a treadle loom." |
