low annular base, depressed body modified above by slight bosses, wide contracting neck with low collar below expanding rim which is thickened exteriorly, head and tail of tapir[?] in full relief on neck, legs painted in red, lines on body of vessel, cream slip, polychrome decoration, the black almost obliterated, rattling clay ball in tail, Nicoya polychrome ware
