Description | This type of basket is still available at Bogyoke Market, Rangoon (1998). Light golden colored basket with handle. Stick supports for bottom rim, side columns and upper rim which are twined and joined to the open woven side and bottom walls. The bottom rim is hexagonal and the upper rim is circular. Three strips are coiled together for handle. Three straight supports on the bottom with tips inserted inside the basket to hold them in place. |
