Description | Flat with cutout sections in upper half giving appearance of 3 rods in 2 sections; center largest; small area c. in center between rods uncut and wrapped with red and green ribbon. Stem below rods at each end has strip of brown velvet wrapped around it; lower one has strands of purplish horsehair attached underneath. No mouthpiece; stem narrows at bowl end. Cutout pieces wrapped with quills in yellow, light and purple (lower half) and red and blue (upper). Checkerboard designs worked with light quills in colored cross of lower rods; colored quills on light in upper. Colors faded. Connecting piece for bowl broken. |
