Description

Woven hat with a raven design painted on in black and red. Painted on top with a four-pointed, red star. A zigzag or "tree shadow" design is woven into the lower half (Frances Paul, 1944 p. 54).

Technical notes: twined, close twined, three-strand, diagonal/twill twining, two-strand; Top: 10 warps and 16 wefts per square inch; Rim: 8 warps and 12 rows.
