Description

Man's stiff belt. Cotton with geometric and animal designs. Surface weft float. Single braided fringe. Tag reads, "-- faint imitation of the Totonicapan belts -- woven on a hip strap loom."

As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 124 epi, two ply, white, black and blue cotton and rayon. Weft: 20 ppi, multistrand, gold rayon. Supplementary weft is two faced. Woven on a backstrap loom."
