Description

Calligraphy scroll with a poem written by Han Yaozeng 韓耀曾, secretary to Yuan Shikai 袁世凱 (1859 - 1916) the first president of the Chinese Republic.The poem reads: 樵歌一曲眾山皆響: "The woodcutters song, in one corner, the host of mountains all resound (echo)." It is addressed to Dr. Paul [Jones].
