Description

Jar. Antique. Cast brass, by lost wax method. Ring base, nearly straight sides expanding slightly to high rounded shoulder, extremely short neck with inturned rim. Indecipherable Chinese character in base. 8 Buddhist symbols in very naturalistic way; also lion and cub in Chinese style (Cf. 51-4-82).
