Description | Black, fine-grained rock with concoidal fracture (chert or volcanic origin). Boring element has flaking almost entirely obscured by grinding probably through use. Its rounded edges show striations perpendicular to longitudinal axis, indicating rotational use. Tip is rounded and has small use scar removals. Shank is flaked on both sides. |
