Description | Twenty seven fragments of inscribed vessels with Cypriot Syllabary graffito inscription. A fragment of the foot and 3 sections of upper wall. Form similar to MS5683 thought lighter in fabric. Ring foot, widely open bowl, outturned rim. A thick strap handle set at slight upward angle to wall on each side, just below rim. Pinkish buff, hard clay, light grey slip. Inscription in Cypriote syllabary impressed while clay was wet in two lines on upper wall. Pieces A-C bear inscriptions. |
