Description | Black figured lekythos. Intact, except for chips. molded foot, narrow neck, bell-shaped mouth. Rays at base of neck, rays on shoulder. On body front, Peleus wrestling Thetis, between two females, presumably Nereids, who run away in either direction, looking back. Vine branches in the field. Careless incision; added white for female flesh and for fruit clusters on the vine branches. |
