Description

Shape: Striaght-sided cup with slightly concave profile, with one strap handle (Vapheio cup). Fabric: Fine, pink (7.5YR 7/4) clay with very dark gray (7/5YR N3/ ) paint and decoration in added white (poorly preserved) paint. Decoration: Painted, inside and out, including resting surface. Added white paint: band at rim, both inside and out; frieze of leaf-like tendrils, with one band above and four below. Condition: Restored from fragments. Some sherds missing. Added white paint visible only as discolorations.
