Description

Figure of Shussan Shaka (出山釈迦). Shaka returning from the mountains. He is depicted with a beard and shaven head, attired in flowing garments, which are agitated by the winds and holding his hands in a position of prayer. Wood carved with traces of gilding. Stand (15408B).
