Description | An Indian loom with a piece of work showing embroidering. "For want of lubrication many of the warp threads are broken; and the whoe thing is a poor, careless piece of work, the result of trying to get something in a hurry. Ishouldn't be sending it to you, only that it shows the method of embroidering. The embroidery is not put on after the cloth is made, but in the course of weaving. As the weaving part is all white, there is only one shuttle." |
