Description | Earthenware Wide mouthed vessel with an ovate body, no neck/collar, rounded rim, no handles, and a flat base. No molded/modeled additions. The vessel is painted with geometric designs in red and white. There appears to be a smoothed finish on the exterior and a smoothed finish on the interior. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is orange in color. The catalogue number is written on the interior of the vessel and black ink on the interior of vessel reads: "1186g." |
