Description | Funerary; Wooden, oval shaped, shallow face mask. Large circular holes for eyes; smaller hole under nose; wide open mouth. Nose is slight ridge forming beak-like tip, no nostrils. Entire eye are is concave. No carved features except nose. Rim of mask and inner edges of holes are painted red; facial area painted white, continuous line on nose ridge arching over eyes to side of face has been painted bright blue, now faded darker brown. |
