Description | Statue is wood with small amount of gilding remaining. Surface of wood brown lacquer. Buddha is sitting in a lotus position. Left hand is in the lap in meditation type position and right hand is pointing down over right knee in the attitude of bhumisparsa mudra, or calling the earth to witness. There is a square hole in the back of the base. |
