Description

This object is a lithic and is 5 ¾ inches long. Both the ANSP and loan numbers are visible, placed on the ventral face. The lithic is plano-convex, and there is a flat to channeled surface (two inches long) on the ventral face at the working edge. The interior of the channel is rounded. The stone is rough but ground partially smooth on the rounded face. The tip of the working edge is ground smooth. There are two similar gouges on each face of the lithic that appear to be intentionally chipped away in the manufacturing process. On the rounded face, the divot is 2 ½ inches long. On the flat face, the gouge is two inches long. Both faces are dark gray with light gray patterns on raised bumps from wear.
