Description | Grayish bucchero pesante amphora; moulded foot, hollow undersurface. Ovoid body, carinated with straight flared neck. Outward thickened rim. Strap handles with groove at edges, flaring outward towards point of attachment at rim and shoulder. Ridge at join between shoulder and neck, also near top of neck. Horizontal groove around center of neck. Four female daedalic heads attached to the top of the rim: one above each handle, the other two equidistant. Note: Blue and white sticker with dots on which “2” and (?) are written. Red and white sticker with (?) and “27” (the writing is smudged in both cases). |
