Weaving Peg

Original description: Woven band at top [o], goes around woman's waist; thick piece of balsa at each end [a,b] holds hammock ends; weaving procedes from both ends toward center; warp and woof [p] white and brown, forming pattern; 2 pairs of 2 reeds each [l,m stretchers; h,i,j,k pegs] hooked to fabric where woven portions stop to keep fabric taut; thin smoothed pieces of palm bark are heddles [e,f]; just below top woven part a rounded piece [d] over which warp strings are looped; one medium round piece [c] through warp near bottom; one bobbin [h] with white thread; large bone needle in fabric [g].
