Description

Mended and plastered. Glaze cracked and chipped in spots. Flat, wide base curving into stem; tall conical hollow underneath. Large, thin central torus on stem. Shallow/bowl, flattened everted rim. Painted dec,; red/brown glaze with added purple. All of base and stem red with two intentional brown bands below torus. On exterior bowl, brown band. On lip, broken, on rim, purple. On interior bowl, reddish brown. Fine clay, some mica, fored light brownish buff. Burnished before glazing.
