Description

Shape: Conical cup with slightly concave profile, with one strap handle (Vapheio cup). Fabric: Fine, pink (7.5YR 7/4) clay with decoration in lustrous red (2.5YR 4/6) to black (10R 2.5/1) paint and added white (no longer preserved) paint. Self-slipped. Decoration: Interior, lower part of body, and resting surface painted. Ripple pattern on upper part of body; four bands in added white paint on lower part of body. Condition: Restored from fragments. Some sherds missing. Handle missing.
