Description | Section of base and part of interior support of openwork stand. Hard buff clay. Interior unglazed. base high, sloping outward in profile. To its upper surface were attached a contiguous group of 7 vertical coils of clay splaying outward. On outer face of base 4 horizontal wavy lines between 2 wheel painted lines; at right, parts of 3 vertical strokes. Across extant coils are horizontal stripes of glaze. Handmade. |
