Description | South Gaulish Red-glazed dish. Samian ware. Intact save for minor chips. Ring foot. Steeply rising wall. Just below rim is a prominent band of cording. A plastic attached spiral on either side. Clay cinnamon color, fine. Excellent red glaze over all. A small 8-point asterisk stamped beneath glaze in center of floor, a dot between each point. |
