Description | Cofradia, cotton, white ground [supplementary weft colors ran] two panels geometric designs on top third of back, stylized animals across shoulder fronts, heavily embroidered panel across chest area, indigo, post office red, emerald, carrot and cornflower blue, silk and cotton embroidery thread. As per Sigrid Meier: "Warp 56 epi, single ply, Z twist, 2 strands, white cotton. Weft 30 ppi, single ply, Z twist, 2 strands white cotton. Warp plain weave. Supplemental weft: 2-faced, continous and discountinous. 2 panels, 4 selveges. T-shaped neck, shoulder. Made on a backstrap loom." |
