Description

Wooden, carved suspension hook. Geometric carvings on body of hook in the forms of lines, triangles and X's. The top of the hook is pointed and around the neck is wrapped a piece of twisted plant fiber, part of the fiber has broken off, yet remains with object.

Attached to a rafter or to one of the wall timbers, these hooks are used for hanging up wooden vessels, pots, baskets, weapons, etc.
