Description | Body-sherd from a jug (?). Fine, brown (7.5 YR 3-4/2) clay, darker at the core, covered with very dark brown paint, with decoration in added white paint. Added white: diagonal line above the two bands. East Cretan White-on-dark Ware. For jugs in this ware see Hall 1904-05: pl. 31, nos. 2, 4, and 8 (Gournia). |
