Description

Rattle to frighten away locusts. Large bamboo tube, septum at each end. Cut-out hole with wood ratchet, attached to wood handle for turning. Plaited peel rings around both ends. Split at end near ratchet. Exhibited at the Louisiana Purchase Exhibition, St. Louis 1904.
