Description

Water carrier. Coconut shell with hole in top, second hole for carrying cord. Remains of coconut fiber cord and bamboo (?) stopper (broken - only half present). The coconut fiber rope is braided Society Islands style. "Colonie de Tahiti 13242 / . . . de Exposant Colonie . . . .gargoulette" Exhibited at l'Exposition universelle de Paris 1900.
