Description | Wooden flat bottom river boat model of the Goldi-Orochi tribes; the sides, each of two planks of wood, extend beyond the stern to support a flat; the plank forming the flat bottom curved upward at the bow and extends to form a narrow platform beyond the sharply upturned bow which consists of two planks of wood lashed on to the side planks; six thwarts span the hull; three oar locks are lashed to each side; eight oars/rudders accompany the model; the bow and stern are painted black and decorated with simple incised lines; the eight oars have simple incised line decorations; two wooden platforms span the stern thwarts; stylized bird sits on projecting platform at bow. |
