Description
Heavy, brown bark cloth with parallel beater marks. Exhibited at l'Exposition universelle de Paris 1900. According to tag, "Tahiti 12159/étoffe indigene/mûrier à papier [indigenous cloth/paper mulberry].” According to sticker, “étoffe en écorce d’arbre à pain Artocarpus incisa [bark cloth of breadfruit tree (Artocarpus incisa)].”
