Description | Composite arrow: reed shaft, hard wood point. Nocked. Very fine binding at juncture between shaft and point, covered with some sort of sealant. Wood carved with relief points, incised chevrons, etc. Red, white, black pigment. 4.7 cm. tip, split/bifurcated for bone point (broken off?) and with two tiny backward-facing barbs. Exhibited at l'Exposition universelle de Paris 1900. |
