Description

Rattle-top lid to a cylindrical basket (NA9209A). The lid is encircled by an outer band of "blanket border" pattern with the rattle top having a stretched "shaman's hat" pattern.

Technical notes: twined, close twined, two-strand, in-between weave (with plain), three-strand, wrapped weft ("false embroidery"). Top: 18 warps, 22 wefts per square inch. Bottom: 18 warps, 22 wefts; Lip: 11 wefts; Knob: 16 warps, 22 wefts. Bottom-compact twine, rattle-top lid, cardboard in bottom.
