Description | Shape: Cup with convex profile on stemmed base (goblet or "egg-cup"). Fabric: Fine, pink (7.5YR 7/4) clay with decoration in black and mottled dark red (10YR 3/6) to black paint. Decoration: Surface similar to Vasilike ware, probably to be regarded as a sub-variety of the technique. Interior and upper part of vessel black; remainder red with a mottled black line around body. Underneath of base unpainted. Condition: Restored from fragments. Foot damaged and mostly missing. Surface slightly erroded. |
