Description | Beaked metal blade with concave cutting edge; the vertical half of each surface finely pitted; three pierced round holes; two projections at back, one at base of cutting edge. Long tang extending the full length of the wooden grip which is lentoid in section, with concave edges, to a deep groove 5.7 cm. from the blade; from the groove to the end, the grip is almost circular in section. Except the groove, which is wrapped with a narrow strip of metal, the grip is completely wrapped with wire. |
