Description | Tall pot with rounded bottom, narrow mouth, slightly flaring rim. Terracotta with smudged areas from firing. Eagle face molded in relief on one side of the neck: round eyes, beak pointing downward. Molded rim around face pierced with small holes (for fiber tassels), as is a bump at the top of the beak. Face and bib are decorated with bold white designs, which extend all the way to the rim. Used to store smoked sago. |
