Description

Sommerville: Sard. An Intaglio, very curious. An aerial locomotive with one wheel. Found at Esneh. Etruscan Seals, Scarabei, Intaglios, and Rings, Case FF.

Vermeule: Sardonyx. Intaglio. (Unmounted). A figure, perhaps Harpocrates or another Graeco-Egyptian divinity reclining to right, on a couch set on a stand terminating on a wheel. Graeco-Roman. cursory work, perhaps produced in Egypt.
