Description | Long oblong strip of sheer dark pink piña (pineapple fiber) cloth whose color is achieved by the dark pink weft. Piña warp remains undyed. Overall pattern of small cream colored flowers with four petals each in staggered rows of five. Three cream colored, silk bands at ends. Plain weave with supplementary wefts of silk. Ends unhemmed. Displayed at the Louisiana Purchase Exposition in St. Louis in 1904. |
