Description | Dance anklet made from quillwork on a cloth backing. The design is made from five horizontal bands of quills dyed white, each band sewn with thread through the center. Three "X" shapes are made from squares of quills dyed black. The bands of design sit atop a roughspun, red, wool backing which sits atop a larger, blue, wool backing. A buckskin strap is attached at each end of the anklet to serve as a tie. |
