Description | Wooden Katsina doll. The form is of an owl (Mongwa) with its upright posture being the only anthropomorphized characteristic. The eyes are large rings painted yellow. The beak is long, painted yellow and tipped with black. Pointed ears on top of the head have feathers attached. The figure is painted brown with a white underbelly and black lines indicating feathers. |
