Description | Mississippi archaeological material; made of clay; brown in color, and black in spots from excessive firing. Circular designs carved around the outside of the bowl. A groove is carved around the rim of the bowl, making the rim approximately 1/4" thick. Another groove is carved around the bottom of the bowl below the circular designs. The inside of the bowl has many lines which appear to have been scratched or scraped onto the clay. |
