Description

Wooden female figurine painted with several colors, now mostly reddish-brown. Base roughly square with incised triangle filled with diagonal lines on center of each side. Large flat feet with well articulated toes. Short fat legs. Small somewhat protruding buttocks. Flat back. Carving at groin. Fat arms, creasesat elbowsand wrists. Arms slightly out, hands bend in and touch hips. Face rather broad. Ears pierced. Semicircle eyes, nail holes in pupils. Rather flat triangular nose. Slightly separated rectangular lips. Three vertical incised lines center of forehead. Three incised vertical elipses, one on each cheek. Hair or headdress is blue. Consists of five chevron bands on two planes (peaked cross-section) which rises from sides to top of center of head. Smooth crest bilaterally bisects top of head. Chunk broken out near back. Fairly good condition
